Things To Do In Nakusp

Our village is a vibrant, safe and friendly lakeshore community nestled on the shores of Upper Arrow Lake in the West Kootenay region of British Columbia. We are surrounded by the beautiful Selkirk and Monashee mountain ranges, natural and developed hot springs and the historic Arrow Lakes.

Arrow Lake

The shores of the Upper Arrow Lake is only a few minute walk from the campground. This gorgeous lake offers stunning views, great fishing, and an abundance of recreation. Put your boat in at the boat launch or walk your kayak, canoe, or SUP down from the campground. The sandy beach offers a fantastic place to enjoy an afternoon with a book or the kids!

Mountain Biking

Nakusp is one of the up and coming mountain bike trail systems in BC. The Kuskanax trailhead can be biked to from the campground and the Mount Abriel trail network is a short drive away. Check the trails out on Trail Forks!

Hot Springs

Hot Springs!!! There are three hot springs within a short drive from the campground. The Nakusp Hot Springs are 15 minutes from the campground and boasts a hot and warm pool. There are fees to get into the hot spring but they are low and totally worth it! Halcyon Hot Springs and Halfway Hot Springs are further but still an easy and quick trip from the campground. The perfect way to sooth those adventuring muscles!

Golf

The Nakusp Centennial Golf Club is a short drive from the campground. With 9-holes on grass greens, spectacular mountain views and a Licensed Fairway Café loaded with hospitality, it’s a great way to spend your day.

Hiking

Hiking in the Kootenays? Check that off your bucket list with some amazing hikes in the Nakusp area. From short family strolls at Cedar Grove to longer day trips climbing the iconic Saddle Mountain, Nakusp has it all!

Downtown

A short walk from the campground is downtown Nakusp. Take a stroll down Broadway St to check out the shops, restaurants, and cafes. On the way back to the campground, make sure to take the Waterfront Walkway to enjoy the lake views and beautiful flower gardens!
